LISTEN!! How many of you have ever heard good things in, good things out? If you put good, nourishing, food in your body, you’ll have better health. If you exercise and get that blood flowing, you’ll have better health. If you stop putting all the bad stuff into your brain, you’ll have better mental health. POSITIVE CHOICES = POSITIVE LIFESTYLE. Positive lifestyle is equaled to less stress.

I want to reach women particularly to just say LET’S GO ON A JOURNEY TOGETHER! Let’s get positive together. Let’s make the choice to have self care a part of our daily routine. Let’s make the choice to read uplifting books and blogs. Let’s make the choice to choose OURSELVES rather than everyone else.

My self care, at times, has consisted of such things as playing games on my phone, Facebook, snacking in front of the TV, binging the latest series, online shopping…. And while there’s nothing wrong with doing these things in moderation, some of them can become more addictive and negative in nature.

Self care should consist of more than just mind-numbing activities. Some great activities are: Gardening, Journaling, Singing, Dancing, Kayaking, Playing in the rain. But we’ll go through a whole list of self care ideas later.

I will also be posting under Mommin’ Ain’t Easy for support on the ups and downs of motherhood. I’ve been a mom since I was 19 years old. My daughter is almost 21 now and I consider myself to be at expert level!! So please keep coming back and we’ll discuss everything it takes to be mentally well! Love and Hugs!
